Arera Club in Bhopal

Situates at the bottom of the Arera Hill, the Club was formed soon after the formation of the state of Madhya Pradesh in 1956 with Bhopal as its capital. As the capital started developing, the call for a recreational center to entertain government servants in the city was felt. This in turn led to the establishment of Arera Club in the early 1960s. The club was primarily an establishment for social and recreational backing for government servants only. Aptly the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh was selected as the Club’s ex-officio President. Soon the doors of club was opened to the private sector which now contributes a third of its membership.

Management of Arera Club Bhopal

The Club is registered under the MP Firms and Societies Act. It is administered by a Managing board, presided over by its president, the Chief Secretary. The organization board comprises of nine members of whom two-thirds are selected from amongst the Government officials while one-third fit in to non-governmental group. Other than the Managing Committee, there are serviceable committees to compact with precise theme such as Sports Committee, Works Committee, Finance Committee, Food and Beverage Committee and Events Committee. These committees independently are headed by senior members of the Club and comprises of representative sections of the Club’s membership.

Fitness Center

The Arera Club has a completely Air-conditioned fitness center facility, which is outfitted with the most modern gym equipment. A skilled trainer/ instructor are accessible in the morning & evening to instruct and lead the members.
