Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid is an elegant Islamic architecture during the period of Qudisiya Begum in around 1800 century. The towering minarets of the small mosque is made in such a way that it is visible from a significant distance. the magnificent towering with marble interior makes the mosque grandiloquent.

Moti Masjid

Popularly known as the pear Mosque, Moti Masjid is situated in the heart of the city of Bhopal. The religious building gives a glimpse of the golden era of the city under the women ruler Begum Nawab Sikander Jehan.

The mosque resembles the Jama Masjid in Delhi as red bricks were used in its construction. The visitors entering the premises of the mosque gets enthralled by the scintillating marble facade.

Taj-ul Masjid

As the name suggests the Mosque is crown of all the other mosques in the city. It is one of the largest and elegant mosque in the country.The mosque possess two huge 18 story minaret with pink facade. The holy courtyard in the center makes the mosque more grand and elegant.

Shaukat Mahal

Shaukat Mahal

The building is an eclectic mixture of Gothic and post-Renaissance artistic style with classic Islamic architecture. History mentions that the monument was designed by the architect who was decedent of Bourbon Dynasty of France. The unique alabaster-white monument must be on your visit list.

Upper Lake

The upper lake in the capital is known as ‘Bada Talab’. It is the man made lake which was build by Raja Bhoj in 11th century. to spend your leisure time amidst the nature, this is the perfect place where you can enjoy boating and other sports activities. The Van Vihar and the fish-shaped aquarium near the lake premise is an attractive tourist destination.

Government Archaeological Museum

It is a place where you can experience amazing art and cultural exhibitions. the museum comprises of the rich and varied collection of arts, sculptures, stone carving from various corner of the state.

Lakshmi Narayana Temple

Dedicated to the Goddess Lakshmi, the renowned temple is situated in the heart of the city at the top of Arera Hills. The shrine have many temples dedicated to various gods and goddesses of Hindu mythology. the Temple was built by famous and eminent Business family of India thus popularly called as Birla Mandir. The temple is situated in middle of the sprawling lawns and water fountains. The temple experiences several pilgrims from various parts of the country.

Bharat Bhawan

Bharat Bhawan is the multi art center built in year 1982 by then prime minister  Mrs Indira Gandhi. The cultural hall is the center for art, dance, painting and singing in the city.The famous architect Charles Correa designed the building. The chained terraced gardens were the specialty of the building that gives a glimpse of wonderful landscape. 

The Roopankar which is the museum for fine arts is the main attraction of the building where tribal arts, crafts, sculptures etc were exhibited. Apart from that the Rangmandal, Antarang, and Chavi theater has great importance. Van Vihar is a natural park situated at the heart of the city. The natural park is different from the others in the country. The most attractive feature of the park is that all the herbivorous animals in the park are left open and you may come across plenty of them while roaming in the park. The carnivorous animals like Tigers and Lions are not caged instead they are also left open but in a enclosed area which they cannot cross.
