Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya
Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya or National Museum of Mankind is spread across an area of 200 acres. The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS)located on the Shamla Hills is is an anthropology museum. It depicts the evolution of man and culture with special reference to India. It also demonstrates modern-day tribal culture and pragmatic facsimile of tribal life.It is one of a kind museum in Bhopal.
From time to time it organizes exhibitions to showcase the art and traditions of India in general and Bhopal in particular. Apart from organizing Open-exhibitions, Indoor galleries and Periodical/ Temporary exhibitions it also organizes Traveling exhibitions, Online exhibitions, Special exhibitions ,Ongoing exhibitions.

State Museum, Bhopal
The State Museum of Madhya Pradesh showcases rich cultural heritage of the state. With seventeen galleries it permits visitors to get glimpse of every age of Indian history. At State Museum Bhopal you can find rare items and artifacts including fossils, pre-historic articles, excavated objects, sculptures, manuscripts, epigraphs, paintings, royal collection and more.The Museum also shows evidence of the illustration of the fine-looking carvings of Khajuraho temple. Apart from this the Museum houses 87 Jain bronzes images recovered from Dhar dating back to the Paramara Dynasty of 12th century.The Museum also has paintings from an assortment of school of fine art and the idols of Shiva, Lakshmi, Brahma, and Vishnu. It also contains textiles, documentary heritage of princely states of Madhya Pradesh depicting the unique heritage of Madhya Pradesh, the heartland of incredible India.

Central Museum Bhopal
The Central Museum in Bhopal came into existence in the year of 1949. It has everything to attract visitors eyes and attention. The collections of the museum includes rare pieces of paintings, porcelain object, coins, metal and ivory toys and artifact, woodcarvings and a number of miscellaneous items like needle-works and local handicrafts. Apart from housing local archeological artifacts from Madhya Pradesh it also has impressive numismatic collection from across India. Further at its galleries you can find rare pieces of stone carved sculptures dating back to ancient periods.Timing : 10:30 to 17:00 hrs.

Birla Museum Bhopal
Birla Museum showcases the tools and equipment dating back to Paleolithic and Neolithic age. Supplementary to this there is the scale replica of the Bhimbetka rock shelter jointly with the strange wall paintings of the Stone Age in the Museum. One can notice the eye catching stone sculpture dating back from the 7th to 13th century. Siva gallery and Vishnu gallery are two famous galleries of the museum.
